The Miller Scorpion 9-Foot Personal Fall Limiter offers an affordable alternative to shock-absorbing lanyards. The Scorpion PFL provides the same working capacity and is also safer and more cost-effective. Safer because the self-retracting lifeline eliminates tripping hazards, and because the quick-activating braking system means workers don’t have to change equipment to address changes in fall clearance. It also makes workers more productive. The visual load indicator shows when the PFL should be removed from service. The Scorpion PFL is also versatile: it can attach directly to the safety harness back D-ring for use as a personal fall limiter, or it can be used as a traditional self-retracting lifeline. From a cost-effective standpoint, the Scorpion Personal Fall Limiter does not require an annual factory recertification, and using it eliminates the need to purchase different fall protection equipment to suit different fall clearances. The Polyester/Vectran webbing is chemical-resistant, and the entire unit is compact and lightweight (3.8 lbs. / 1.7 kg). A steel carabiner connects the PFL, and the lanyard end connector features a steel locking snap hook. Maximum weight capacity 310-lb. (140.6 kg). 9-ft. (2.7 m) working capacity.
